I love the internet. It is an essential part of my professional life as a journalist and writer, it enables me to work wherever it is available, and it makes my journeys much easier. However, I hate the omnipresence of smart phones. It keeps people away from living in the moment, and it makes people look way more stupid than they actually are. Actually smart phones really make people more stupid, limit their imagination and social skills. This spoken word film puts it in a nutshell. It’s great (and also ironic, of course) to see it’s viral success, I really hope it has some effect on the excessive abuse of a wonderful technology.
In order to penetrate the invisible world and develop your powers, you have to live in the present, the here and now. In order to live in the present, you have to control your second mind. And look at the horizon. (Paulo Coelho: The Valkyries)
