10 Outstanding Albums of 2015

There’s never been more good music out there than right now. Here’s 10 random examples.
Scuba – Claustrophobia
His early work on the field of Dubstep and Bass Music was and still is magnificent. Then Paul Rose took a musical detour to the shallows of hands-up-everybody land. Now he’s back with a wonderfully deep and trippy sound.

Nicola Cruz – Prender El Alma
Nu LatAm Sound remains fresh and exciting, and Nicola Cruz from Ecuador is one of the major reasons.

Mocky – Key Change
Mockey’s album is not only extremely dope and extremely musical, it also pays tribute to the fine art of whistling.

Rival Consoles – Howl
This highly cinematic album is as intricate, musical and rich in rhythmic texture as electronic music gets these days.

Quantic – The Westen Transient

Whatever William Holland does… it’s just amazing.

Geode – Plankton Gravy
Keeping things exciting on the Bass Music side of things.

Spoonbill – Tinkerbox
Lots and lots of good Glitch Hop tunes coming out of beautiful Australia, this one being a prime example.

Jamie xx – In Colour
With its mind-boggling variety of styles, atmospheres and influences, this album is a timeless masterpiece.

Sebastian Mullaert & Ulf Eriksson – The Dance
When it comes to hypnotic music for modern trance dance rituals, this is it.

Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm – Collaborative Works
Classical music and Ambient can still sound very fresh and inspiring.
